Automotive security is not a very well known or understood topic in Australia, and the ecosystem to support Australia's automotive security capability is not as established as other countries around the world. This is partly due to the lack of vehicle manufacture in Australia, and partly due to the fact that attacks on automobiles are done by more traditional means in Australia (such as using brute physical force to steal a vehicle rather than conducting keyless replay attacks.) This may change in the future however as more connected vehicles are imported into Australia, and more adversaries discover and learn more about the new attack landscape these vehicles provide.
